Invitations to fraternity meetings and events, fraternity newsletters, scholarship ratings of fraternities, Inter-Fraternity Council papers, fraternity directories, etc. Includes papers on the 1947 imposition by the Board of Visitors of "strict" resolutions governing fraternities. Of interest is a widely distributed article, 1941? by Ed Pleasants urging first year men to think carefully before accepting any bids to fraternities in the coming bid weekend. He charts out the many disadvantages of fraternity life and argues that the University injustly favors its fraternity men for positions of power, especially those in the "Big Ten" fraternities. Over 500 copies of this article were distributed personally after the editor of College Topics refused to publish it as being too controversial.
